Commercial Vehicle Replacement
Why Commercial Replacement Vehicle Insurance?
Having an accident or having your vehicle stolen can be stressful enough without the inconvenience of being off the road
whilst your vehicle is being repaired or replaced. For commercial enterprises, having vehicles off the road can create
additional problems in fulfilling contracts, meeting appointments or carrying out day to day business. The costs of hiring a
vehicle yourself during this period could run into hundreds or thousands of pounds.
Our Commercial Vehicle Replacement policy provides you with a vehicle to keep you mobile. We offer a unique range of
covers to match you and your business. The vehicles provided are of high quality, fully serviced and less than one year
old.
The Cover
If your vehicle is damaged or stolen and not recovered and the incident occurs within the territorial limits of Great Britain,
we will arrange for a replacement vehicle for your use whilst your vehicle is being repaired, or until payment has been
made to settle the claim, provided it does not exceed the hire period.
The specific hire period and type of vehicle is subject to your choice and set out in the insurance schedule. You must
inform us immediately on settlement of the claim or return of your repaired vehicle.
We will do this provided you have reported the incident to your insurers and, if a criminal offence has been committed, to
the police. Age limits for drivers apply and depend on insured vehicle type.
Unique Options for Cover
The basic cover is for a hire period of 14 days, however cover can be extended from 14 to 21 days.
A range of vehicle types are available including
• A full range of cars and small vans
