Why Points Guard Driver Protection Insurance?
With the prevalence of roadside speed cameras and mobile safety camera teams more people than ever are getting points on their licence for speeding related offences. More than two million drivers per year are now being caught by speed cameras and many people who have had years of safe and clean driving are now receiving speeding related penalty points and fines.
The impact of losing your licence could have massive implications for your lifestyle both in terms of flexibility to travel and increased cost. The additional costs of travelling to and from work alone are substantial for most people if they lose use of their car.
Our Points Guard Insurance provides cover against the additional costs associated with the loss of your licence and we can offer three levels of cover to meet your needs. Our Standard Points Guard Insurance covers you for additional costs of up to £6,000 per year as well as providing motor legal protection and motoring legal cost defence cover.
Our Premier Points Guard Policy provides cover up to £12,000 per year, which in most areas is sufficient to cover the costs of hiring a chauffeur/driver to help keep you mobile. It also provides replacement vehicle cover for up to 14 days if your car is stolen or undriveable after an accident.
Our Points Guard Platinum policy builds on the Premier policy to provide £12,000 per year if your licence is revoked for medical reasons or if you are unable to drive following an incapacitating injury. It also includes vehicle recovery insurance in the event that your vehicle is immobilised in an accident, is vandalised or stolen.
The Cover
Levels of cover for disqualification, revocation and incapacity depend on the policy chosen. All covers have Motor Legal Protection of up to £50,000 and Motor Legal Defence cover up to £100.

Disqualification cover under the policy is for social and domestic use and travel to and from work. Restrictions on availability based on age and current number of points accrued apply.
