Why Premier Commercial Legal Protection Insurance?

Our Premier Commercial Protection Insurance provides enhanced cover over our standard Commercial Legal Protection.  The additional cover, set out below, can be invaluable to businesses in allowing them more cost certainty and the knowledge that they can pursue their rights with substantially reduced risk.

The Principal Cover

In addition to the benefits included in our Commercial Legal Protection Policy, our Premier Policy also provides cover for:

The pursuit or defence of legal proceedings arising from a dispute with a customer or supplier in respect of a contract with that customer or supplier for the sale, purchase, hire or supply of goods or services.  

The pursuit of legal proceedings arising from a dispute with a customer in respect of an uncontested debt that arises from the sale or provision of goods or services.

The pursuit of legal proceedings against an employee or former employee who is in breach of restrictions contained within a written contract of employment signed by the employee.

The pursuit or defence of legal proceedings between the insured and a customer or supplier in respect of a contract for the sale, purchase, hire, lease, hire purchase, service, repair or test of a motor vehicle owned by the insured or for which the insured is legally responsible.

The pursuit of legal proceedings by the insured to recover damages, including damages for personal injury, suffered by the insured, following a road traffic accident, provided that the motor vehicle in which the insured was travelling was properly insured as required by law.

Payment of the fees of an insolvency practitioner acting as an insolvency office holder who has been appointed following the insolvency of the insured person where there are insufficient assets of the insured person to meet such costs.

The cover provides for legal costs and expenses of up to £50,000 for every claim with no limit on the number of claims in any year.

As part of the policy you are able to access help lines for legal advice and tax advice for matters affecting your business in relation to the policy at no charge.

We can also provide access to employment specialists who can assist you with employment matters at discounted rates in areas such as writing contracts of employment and reviewing compliance with legislation.
